Not every claim is approved. After 10+ years handling claims, we've seen the same rejection reasons again and again, and almost all of them are avoidable.
1. Your policy had expired
The most painful one. The accident happens two days after your policy lapsed, and there's simply nothing anyone can do. Set reminders, or let us track your expiry dates for you.
2. The accident was reported late
Insurers expect the accident to be reported promptly, and a police report within 24 hours. Wait a week to "settle it privately" first, and your claim is in danger.
3. The vehicle was used outside policy coverage
Using a private car for paid deliveries or e-hailing without the right add-on? If an accident happens while doing that, the insurer can reject the claim entirely.
4. Driving under the influence
Alcohol or drugs at the wheel voids your protection completely. No insurer, no exception.
5. Incomplete or inaccurate claim details
Wrong dates, missing photos, inconsistent statements between the police report and the claim form, small mistakes give insurers grounds to reject. This is where having someone experienced prepare your claim makes the difference.
